“Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets, so that whoever reads it, may run with it.  For the vision waits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false.  Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”  Habakkuk 2:2-3.

During this time the world calls a “recession,” many have lost everything from homes, jobs, even health due to the economic downturn.  The attendance at fancy restaurants have been traded for fast food; and because many have free time on their hands, movie ticket sales have skyrocketed.  While comforting disappointment is a natural human outlet, there is STILL room to grow in the midst of a drought!  Let me encourage someone (whoever you are) today that your financial circumstance does not determine your destination; that a dream deferred is not a dream denied; and that God is still able to make visions a reality.  So the question is:  Have you written your vision down?

Take the time out today to write down some of the visions that have been pressing on your heart and mind.  Do not be afraid to think out of the box and do not put ANY barriers up.  Do not base it on your limited resources, but on the unlimited strength and resources of God.  Ask yourself the following when you are done writing:

  • Is this vision from God?  While you may have the ability to make a vision come to pass, asking for God’s wisdom and understanding is better than just having the knowledge on how to make something happen. (“Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.  Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7).  Recognize that it will COST you something to stay in line with God.
  • Is this the right time for the vision?  Pray about it…and pay attention to your surroundings.  God is not a magician…He sets things and people in order to have certain things come to pass.  BUT BEWARE:  Just because a vision is delayed does not mean it is still not confirmed; just because things seems to flow like milk and honey, does not necessarily mean it is from God.  For every God-given thing, remember the enemy will try to create a counterfeit.  Continually seek God’s face about the same vision (do not get weary in your asking…God wants to know how serious you are about this vision).
  • I do not know what to dream about….but I want more.  TELL GOD!  An exercise I like to do at night is to read a passage and ask God to help me understand it right before I go to sleep.  Asking Him to clarify is the only way we will truly understand what He wants from us and for us. REMEMBER…there IS purpose for you!  No one was created to do what you were destined to do!  And all of us need the gift you were created to share!

Do not let the downturns of today, prevent your rising of tomorrow!  It all starts with a pen…so write!

“Do not base it on your limited resources, but on the unlimited strength and resources of God.” Cha-ching!!!!! I love this post today sis. People truly do underestimate their visions. It’s time for us a believers to really go full steam ahead w/ these plans but carefully following God’s voice and WRITING IT DOWN in order to see a physical thought being manifest.
Again, thank you for your word today.
