Encouragement for this Week

I just wanted to use the blog this week to EXTRA encourage everyone. It’s the start of a new week, and maybe this last week was SUPER crazy, or it didn’t go quite as planned, or you know, maybe it was just SUPER long. Whatever it WAS, this week is brand new. I often feel like there’s not really much to do, especially at school, but when I sit back and look at what I’ve done throughout one week, I realized that there is so much to do. It’s funny how everyday things are the same, but when I look back, everything’s changed. And though there may be another crazy and hectic week lying ahead, (especially with the upcoming holidays) let’s remember to do the Pigeon walk. Stop to think, meditate and reflect. And also to remember what this holiday season really is all about. It’s not about food, cold weather, warm cozy blankets and cups of hot chocolate. Christmas carols, trees, lights or presents. It’s about being thankful for Christ, our relationship with Him and all that He has done for us. The everyday things that seemed to get overlooked, like the cell phones we stay in touch with, the cars we use (often without thinking about) without a second thought, the smile that we share from day to day, or the frown that we take up on those Extra crazy days.

Then it’s about family, and being together. It’s often sad that it takes a major event such as a holiday, family event, etc. to get people together. The season comes at the end of the year to give us a chance to do this, but we can be thankful every day. ANY day! And we should be!  Yes, it’s all fun and grand, but alot of meaning is lost in the hustle and bustle.

And if this week seems like it’s going to be too crazy to control, well that’s okay, because we don’t control anything. Trust that God will take care of it all. “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)

And if the week seems like it’s going to be too full of people being “in your face” or those who have a habit to talk about you just won’t seem to be quiet and you have the urge to let them have it (!!!)…remember: “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

And if the week seems like it just might be too burdening and you don’t think you’re gonna get through it, remember: Even an airplane goes against the wind to get where it’s going. Not everything’s easy. It’s not all fair. It’s not all like it’s “supposed” to be. But that’s okay too, because you won’t be alone. Remember: “…for He has said, ‘Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.'” (Hebrews 13:5)

And should this week be just the BEST week you feel like you’ve EVER had, that’s FABULOUS! But remember, “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High.” (Psalm 92:1)

So be encouraged! Stay in praise! And remember: “A cheefrul look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.”
(Proverbs 15:30) So don’t forget to SMILE!

To The KING!!

Thank you for reminding us that we’re not in charge of ANYTHING, and to take time out to be thankful for the blessings in our lives, mainly, if you are a Christ Follower, for salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ!

Hey sweetie, at times when we are going through things it can get crazy. But I do thank God for beening there to carry his children. No matter how far we have to go. Thank you for the encouragement. Love ya!

Whoowee Claire. Funny that I hadn’t read yours until today when I actually needed to hear it most. Thanks for continuing to let God use you. You have no idea how much light shines from you…being so young, it is encouragement alone. Thanx for the scripture references.
