Merry CHRISTmas!

I went to bed last night excited to sleep in for the first time in a long time, and so in preparation I literally turned EVERYTHING off in my house, including my phone which NEVER goes off. I did not need any noise this morning interrupting the peacful sleep I anticipated. WOULD YOU BELIEVE, after all of my planned preparation, I was STILL awaken by something I forgot I couldn’t turn off. So what was it you ask?

The birds outside of my window are normally conversing in the mornng, but today they seemed especially loud.

At first I was a bit perturbed, knowing the lengths I went to, to make sure I would get a complete good nights’ rest; but as I tuned into their song, God became a translator, giving me VIP access into natures’ uniquely private dimension. The birds sang in a chorus-like fashion, with uplifted voices, chanting “Today a child is born! Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!” As soon as I caught the verse of the birds, the winds stepped in, whispering “Emanuel, Our King has come, Emanuel, our King has come”.

It made me think about Luke 19:40 where Jesus says “I tell you, he replied, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

MY GOD! To hear nature literally Praise and Worship and Celebrate our Saviour, FORCED me out of bed and into prayer! The only thing I could utter was THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!

Thank you God for your Son Jesus Christ!
