I don’t want to do much talking nowadays.  What is a movie of images of tear gas and people running away from tanks…is the reality of our lives.  Just imagine if your last name was Martin, or Davis, or Garner, or McBride, or Brown.  Because it could have been.  And that deserves a pause.

We raise our hands to surrender.  To motion that we are no harm.  That we are no threat.  That we are open to listen.  Especially when you have a weapon in our face.  And yet you still shoot.

So, for now, I just want to thank God for my life.  One that is already numbered, and one that has an ending I can’t even predict.  But for now, I have it.  And I am reminded that breathing is not cheap, or free.

A friend sent the below to me, and asked me to listen to the words.  I ask you to do the same.
