BAD CREDIT

In making the constant life transition to becoming more like Christ (yes folks…that’s the goal, remember?), I am becoming more compassionate, transparent, free, and most of all, DRIVEN in and towards the things of God that allow me, my gifts, and my life overall be a blessing to others. 1 Corinthians 4:7 (NLT) says, “For what gives you the right to make such a judgment? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?”.

A testimony is not truly a testimony if it is used to show how you alone transcended a situation, circumstance, or lifestyle w/o giving God the credit for it. Yes I am a Gospel singer. Yes I am a business owner. Yes I am involved in growing ministries. Yes I am full of purpose and possibility. But SO WHAT! God isn’t necessarily going to pat me on the back for doing these things. He gifted me w/ them expressly to glorify Him. If I’m EXPECTING a pay-off outside of seeing the lost saved, then I need to check myself b/c the motive is off-center.
In the body of Christ, I have witnessed first hand, many spiritual frauds… folks that play the “Hallelujah glory to God” game, while in fact in the same breath, speaking about the many things they have done to increase this and that. It’s very disturbing. We must constantly remind ourselves that our continued effectiveness is only determined by heeding to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Taking God’s glory is like having BAD CREDIT; continually borrowing and not giving back what is due will eventually leave you bankrupt.
So for my last thought, I will leave you with a video that I put together using photos showing my journey over the past few years as God is growing me through His word. The video is accompanied by my newest song called COMPASS, which lyrics speak for itself.
To GOD be ALL THE GLORY for all He has done, is doing, and will continue to do in my life. I pray that we all learn the value of BOLDly living life God’s way and making sure He gets the FABULOUS credit He is due for it all. If we spend time trying to get the glory, people will be looking to us for the answers instead of looking to THE ONE who can truly give them.
